I'm passionate about generating and elevating creative work – including graphic, web and product design. I excel in leading creative teams and projects to find unique solutions.
I am a husband and father of two boys living in Overland Park, KS. When I'm not doing creative work, I love spending time with my family - especially watching and coaching my boys in sports. I also love running, playing basketball, drawing and painting.
My work as a designer includes a wide range of creative experience - from product design, to html coding, to graphic design. I believe that design is valuable and strive to thoroughly understand the context of each project, ensuring that design solutions address business needs while navigating constraints effectively. A project to refresh the brand's visual identity focused on creating differentiation between Staples and Staples Promotional. Project involved updating color palette and logo, creating several graphic elements to use, and updating messaging to better define the brand.

A project to develop the new control panel for top-end infrared saunas. GUI needed to move to Android hardware while improving functionality. Overall functionality ranged from heating controls, to scheduling, to lighting, and more. Worked with developer to ensure successful execution.

A project to create an elite lifting shoe utilizing a traditional wooden heel. Began with refining performance requirements, worked with client to create an aesthetic that fit the brand, and developed a complete tech pack for prototyping and eventual production.

The mPulse line is Sunlighten's top line of infrared saunas. I was given the task of working with mechanical and electrical engineers to create the full design. Through sketching, 3D modeling and prototyping we were able to create a unique aesthetic that maximized the efficacy of the unique technology.

Through Staples Promotional Products, I was able to work on The Intel Store – with an online store and two physical stores with primarily branded Intel products. My work included branding and visual identity work for the store, graphics featured on product, the design of the estore, and a variety of signage and displays utilized at several of Intel's campuses.

Through Staples, I worked on the Subaru Gear online store. My work included branding and visual identity work for the estore, the design and build of the estore, numerous email marketing pieces, some small print pieces, and more.

This was the first large project utilizing Staples Promo's new visual identity. It is a catalog distibuted in physical and digital format highlighting many of the retail brands that Staples Promotional Products offers. The project was important in order to help introduce and establish our updated logo, color palette and visual elements while still having consistency with the brands being featured.
